Accommodation Information for Exchange Students – Fall Semester 2026

Accommodation period: September 9, 2026 – January 15, 2027

We are pleased that you are interested in accommodation at the dormitories of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE).

This guide will help you through the accommodation process. The information below applies only to exchange students of VŠE.

1. Application for Accommodation

To apply for accommodation, please follow these steps:

  • Apply via the ISKAM system: iskam-web.vse.cz
  • Application period: May 15 – June 15, 2026
    (Late applications are possible, but you will not be able to choose your room.)
  • Waiting list: EXCHANGE – Prague VŠE, 2026/2027 fall

2. Payment of the Deposit

Please note:

  • The deposit is not part of the rent.
  • It is held in your ISKAM account for the entire duration of your stay.
  • It will be refunded after you move out (subject to conditions).

If both the application and deposit are completed on time, your application status will change on July 7, 2026 from:

  • “Approval in progress” → “Preliminarily approved”

This means that everything is alright and you can choose your room later.

3. Room Selection

  • Room selection period: July 13 (10:00 AM) – July 16, 2026
  • After selecting a room, your status will change to: “Approved”

If you do not select a room by July 16, 2026, your room will be assigned administratively by the Central Accommodation Office until July 31, 2026.

4. Types of Rooms

You may choose a single or double room (Room types)

  • Premium single room – total: CZK 50,304 (CZK 393/night)
  • Premium double room – total: CZK 34,944 (CZK 273/night)
  • Premium double room (single occupancy) – total: CZK 53,888 (CZK 421/night)

Important:

  • The number of single rooms is limited.
  • Most students will be accommodated in shared rooms.
  • The system works on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Payment of the deposit does not guarantee a single room.

If single rooms are fully occupied, you may select a bed in a double room.
If capacity allows, you can later request single occupancy by contacting: ubytovani@vse.cz

5. Rent Payment

  • Accommodation period: September 9, 2026 – January 15, 2027
  • Rent must be paid for the entire period at once

Important conditions:

  • The deposit (CZK 8,000) is not part of the rent. It is held in ISKAM account for the entire duration of the stay and will be returned when you move out.
  • Before arrival, you must have at least CZK 10,000 (or the full rent) in your ISKAM account, payment instructions are here.
  • The remaining amount must be paid upon arrival.
  • Without full payment, check-in is not possible.

7. Cancellation Policy

If students change their mind and do not want to have an accommodation at the dormitories anymore, it is possible to send the cancellation request until August 8, 2026 in ISKAM.

  • Cancellation deadline: August 8, 2026
  • Submit via ISKAM:
    Waiting list → Exchange → Cancellation Request

If cancelled by the deadline:

  • The deposit will be refunded minus bank fees
  • Refund is sent to the bank account specified in ISKAM

If cancelled after August 8, 2026:

  • The deposit is non-refundable

8. Earlier Departure

According to the contract:

  • Rent is paid until January 15, 2027
  • Early departure is possible, but no refund will be provided
  • Exchange students can move out prior to this date, but please note that dormitory cannot refund any money for earlier departure.

9. Registration with the Foreign Police

  • All foreign students must be registered with the Foreign Police
  • This is handled by the accommodation provider

Important:

  • Registration is completed electronically
  • It must be reported within 3 working days after arrival

10. Room Facilities

Rooms are equipped with:

  • Bedding and bed linen
  • Lamp
  • Heating
  • Microwave
  • Fridge

Please note:

  • Towels, toiletries (toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc.), and a hairdryer are not included
  • Kitchens are not equipped with dishes
  • Bed line will be prepared in your room

 

 

Spring semester 2026

Spring semester 2026 (February 4, 2026 – June 19, 2026)

We are pleased by your interest in accommodation at the dormitory of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE).

This page should guide you through the process of applying for your accommodation. The information below is only for exchange students of VŠE.

If you are interested in accommodation at the VŠE dormitory in the Spring semester, it is necessary to:

  1. APPLY FOR ACCOMMODATION

  1. PAY THE DEPOSIT of CZK 8 000 no later than December 1, 2025!

  1. CHOOSE A ROOM

Room selection is open in ISKAM from December 9, 2025, at 10:00 am (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/czech-republic/prague) until December 14, 2025 at midnight.

At this time, the application status will be changed from the “Preliminarily approved” to ”Approved”.

  • „Premium: single-bed room” – total price is 51 705 CZK (383 CZK/night)
  • „Premium: double-bed room” – total price is 35 910 CZK (266 CZK/night)
  • „Premium room: one person in a double-bed room” – total price is 55 485 CZK (411 CZK/night)
  • You can choose from „Premium: single-bed room” or „Premium: double-bed room”
  • If you do not choose a room until December 14, 2025, the Central Accommodation Office will assign a random room.

 

  • If you want to change the reserved room, you can contact us on ubytovani@vse.cz. Please, do not cancel your reservation in ISKAM!
  • SINGLE ROOMS
    • Please note that the number of single rooms is limited. That means you will most likely be accommodated in a shared room.
    • The system works on a “first come, first served” principle, thus payment of the deposit will not guarantee the reservation of a single room! We do not guarantee Exchange students the single rooms.
    • In case all single rooms are already occupied, you may pick a bed in a double room. Then it is possible only in case of free capacity to reserve a room with an unoccupied bed. In this case, student has to send an email to ubytovani@vse.cz.

  1. PAY THE RENT

    • Your accommodation is booked from February 4, 2026 to June 19, 2026
    • You have to pay the rent for the whole period all at once. A deposit of 8 000 CZK is not part of the rent!
    • By the day you move into the dormitories, you must charge a minimum of 10 000 CZK or the entire rent to your main account at ISKAM.
    • The rest of the rent must be paid upon arrival. Otherwise, it is not possible to move in.

 

  1. MOVE INTO THE DORMITORY

    • Information about moving in can be found here
    • If you come to Prague earlier, you can stay at the “hotel accommodation” located at our dormitories cz/en .
    • If you arrive later than February 10, 2026, please send a notice email directly to Mrs. Veronika Schneiderová (schneiderova@vse.cz).
    • In case you are accommodated in the Thalerova dormitory, please get in touch with dormitory manager about your arrival

CANCELLATION

Suppose students change their minds and no longer want accommodation at the dormitories. In that case, it is possible to send the cancellation request by January 4, 2026, in ISKAM in the application: Waiting list → Exchange → Cancellation Request. In this case, the student will get the accommodation deposit back reduced by the bank handling fees. The deposit will be refunded in favor of the bank account number the student filled in ISKAM in basic information. If the application for accommodation is canceled after January 4, 2026, the deposit will not be refunded!

EARLIER DEPARTURE

According to the contract conditions, residence fees for Exchange students are paid until June 19, 2026. Exchange students can move out before this date, but please note that dormitory cannot refund any money for earlier departure.

 

Registration of foreigners to the Foreign Police (FP)

  • Every foreigner accommodated at the VŠE dormitories has to report the stay to the FP.
  • Notification obligations for the stay of foreigners to the FP are ensured by the dormitory (accommodation provider).
  • The accommodation provider is obligated to report the foreigner’s stay to the FP within 3 working days of entering the territory of the dormitory.
  • Report of foreigner to the FP is carried out electronically.

Room facilities

Rooms have bedding, sheets, lamps, heating, microwave and fridge. The bedline will be prepared in your room without towels, toiletries (toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc.), or a hairdryer. The kitchen is not equipped with dishes.
