From March 9th, the full unified meal price will apply to all diners in all VŠE canteens!

Dear Students,

We would like to inform you about a change concerning meals provided in the VŠE dining halls.

At the recent meeting of the Representative Commission for the Distribution of the Public Higher Education Budget, it was confirmed that the 2026 budget for public universities no longer includes funding for subsidised student meals in its current form. This decision results from national-level budgetary measures affecting public universities and is not within the authority of VŠE to influence.

As a result, starting Monday, 9 March, a full unified meal price will apply to all diners in all VŠE canteens.

We understand that this change may increase your meal expenses and that this is not welcome news. Unfortunately, we are required to proceed in accordance with the current funding conditions.
