Summer accommodation 2026

Summer accommodation begins on June 30, 2026 and ends on September 7, 2026.

Summer accommodation is provided for:

  • Current VSE students
  • VSE graduates, if
    • They are max. 2 years from graduation at VŠE
    • There is enough free capacity
  • student of other schools and universities, if there is enough fee capacity
  • International students from other schools, if there is enough fee capacity
  • Everyone who has an application for studies at the university in the academic year 2026/2027, if there is enough fee capacity

Students of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) are prioritised in their accommodation applications.

Application for the accommodation

  • at ISKAM from March 20, 2026, to May 1, 2026
  • for all students is open waiting list Letní ubytování 2026/Summer accommodation 2026
  • pay a deposit of 8,000 CZK by May 1, 2026 (you do not need to pay the deposit again if you continue from AY 2025/26)

Students can also apply after May 1, 2026, but in this case, the accommodation will be allocated automatically by the Central Accommodation Office.

Students are not entitled for the same room where they lived during the academic year!

Vltava, University Hotel, Thalerova and Eislerova.

Note: For the optimal use of accommodation capacities, students are moved together during the summer. Only a limited capacity is reserved for students. If the number of applications for summer accommodation in a given dormitory is too low, the dormitory will not be open for summer accommodation!

Accommodated students have to check out and leave the dormitory after the end of their stay till 10:00 in the morning.

Reservation and room selection

Students choose their own accommodation in ISKAM. Couples He/She – the room is assigned to them by the Central accommodation office.

Note! A room in summer accommodation does not guarantee the preferred room for AY 2026/2027. Summer accommodation is not related to ac. year, so it is not possible to request a room from summer accommodation for next ac.year (priority is given to a student who lived in the room until 30.6.2026)

Roommate selection – students cannot choose a roommate, but they can choose a room. So if friends want to share a room, they will choose the same room when room selection is open (see dates below), and thus will have shared accommodation provided.

May 11, 2026 – RESIDENTS accommodation = automatic process, only if the following conditions are met:

  • the required room is open for summer accommodation
  • application submitted in time to the waiting list Letní ubytování 2026/Summer 2026 until May 1, 2026
  • paid accommodation or reservation deposit CZK 8 000 until May 1, 2026
  • request for the room in which the student is currently living in this AY (it is not possible to automatically assign another room than the current one)

Couples He/She :

  • May 11 – 12 May, 2026 – Rooms for couples HE/SHE will be allocated  by the Central Accommodation office
  • the required room is open for summer accommodation
  • application submitted in time to the waiting list Letní ubytování 2026/Summer accommodation 2026 until May 1, 2026
  • paid accommodation or reservation deposit CZK 8 000 until May 1, 2026
  • For being accommodated as a couple, both applicants must fill out this form. If the couple does not fill out this form, they will not be accommodated together.
  • Couples are not allowed to choose a room, and accommodation is allocated by Central Accommodation.
  • Pair accommodation in the previous academic year does not mean the automatic allocation of pair accommodation in summer. Those students who lived in a couple’s room during the previous period must also fill out the form!
  • In case the partner moves out of the room (or does not move into the room at all), the other accommodated person is obliged to leave the couple’s room and move to the room specified by the dormitory manager or by central accommodation.

The room selection

Students who will not be allocated to the same room can choose another one in the following terms:

  • May 13, 2026, at 10:00 am – Room selection by students of Mgr. program
  • May 15, 2026, at 10:00 am – Room selection by students of Bc. program
  • May 25, 2026, at 10:00 am – the Others (VŠE graduate, other universities)
  • May 27, 2026 – students who did not choose will be allocated by the Central Office

If the student wants to change the selected room, he/she must contact the Central office by email ubytovani@vse.cz . Do not cancel the application in ISKAM!

Please note that due to optimising bed capacity in summer, it will not be possible for all students to stay in the same rooms as during AY 2025/2026.

Students can be moved to another room due to operational reasons of the Department of Facilities (SÚZ).

Cancellation:

If you are no longer interested in your summer accommodation, please send “Request for cancellation application of accommodation” in ISKAM (→ Waiting list → Summer accommodation→ Cancellation request) no later than 20 days before the start of the accommodation. Thus, for most reservations, the deadline is June 10, 2026. After that date deposit will not be refunded.

 

Please note that in case of postponing the beginning of the reservation to a later date and non-moving in/cancellation of the accommodation, the reservation deposit will not be refunded.

General information

Transition from summer accommodation to accommodation in academic year 2026/2027

All students with an approved application for the 2026/2027 academic year can move to their allocated room for the upcoming academic year. That means that it is not necessary to move out of the dormitory for the period September 7th – 14th 2026. You can stay at the dormitory. The process of moving to a new room will be agreed with the dormitory manager in the second half of August.

Price list

You can find the current price list at Price list of summer accommodation. The dormitory fees are the same as in the academic year.

The reservation deposit is CZK 8,000; without it, a reservation is not possible. Every person must have a deposit. If you have a paid accommodation deposit and apply, we transfer CZK 8000 from the accommodation to the reservation deposit. When signing the contract, the reservation deposit is returned to the accommodation. If you cancel your reservation at least 20 days before your arrival (at ISKAM), the reservation deposit will be returned by transfer to the account specified in ISKAM (foreign payments have handling fees of CZK 500). If you cancel your booking later, the deposit is non-refundable.

Methods of payment

Dormitory payment is paid in advance, no later than the day of arrival for summer accommodation (see ISKAM).

  1. By card via payment portal at ISKAM: Card Accounts – Reservation deposit – Charge
  2. By bank transfer to bank account 1793102/0800. For the bank transfer option, please use the variable code available at iskam-web.vse.cz in the Basic information section.
  3. By card at any dormitory reception.
  4. By cash deposit in Czech crowns (CZK) at the dormitory manager’s office of your hall of residence.

Additional information will be provided by the Dormitory manager of each dormitory.

The process of moving in

You can check in only during working days (Mo – Fr) in the office hours at the respective hall of residence manager’s office (on the move-in day, you have in ISKAM). In exceptional cases, moving in outside the office hours can be arranged in advance by e-mail with the dormitory manager.

When moving in, you are obliged to have:

  • Confirmation that you are a student (one from below listed will be enough)
    • ISIC card (VSE students)
    • Actual confirmation of study not older than 3 months (students from other universities or secondary schools)
    • Decision that you have been admitted to study at VŠE (students who will start their university studies in the 2026/27 academic year)
  • Identity card or passport

Internet connection

  • The internet connection (both cable and Wi-Fi) is free of charge for students and employees of VSE.
  • The Wi-Fi internet connection is free for Eduroam-participating students.
  • All others can arrange the Wi-Fi connection at the dormitory reception.

Confirmation for foreign police (OAMP)

Please note that it is not possible to sign the contract retroactively. It is possible to sign a contract online 7 days before arrival. It is possible to convert a contract to paper form at any Czech POINT office. Instructions can be found here.
