Reduction of dormitory prices from 1/1/2023

Dear students, dear residents.

On October 7, 2022 was published Government Regulation No. 298/2022 Sb. , by which the government of the Czech Republic capped the prices of gas and electricity with effect from 1 January 2023.

In this context, a new dormitory price list will také effect from 1 January 2023, which will take into account the above changes. I am pleased to inform you that the current accommodation fees will be reduced by 31 CZK/day in all dormitories, with the exception of the Jarov II dormitory, where the dormitory fee (due to the fact that services are paid based on actual consumption) will be reduced by 15 CZK/day .

In the 4th quarter of 2022, the accommodation fee was determined based on the expected development of spot gas prices in accordance with the valid gas supply contract. Assuming that there is no change in the downward trend of the spot gas price, I expect with moderate optimism that you will be refunded the difference between the tuition price increased from 1/10/2022 and the accommodation fee calculated based on the actual billed gas price for the 4th quarter of 2022. This difference will be refunded to your ISKAM account, probably by the end of January 2023.
