Dormitories of the University of Economics and Business in Prague (VŠE) offer for the academic year 2024/2025:

Student’s accommodation for the 2024/2025 academic year from September 2024 until June 2025 – Price list.
Short-term student accommodation for students of VŠE for 7 – 30 nights from November 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026 – Price list. The possibility of a short-term accommodation reservation depends on the accommodation capacity during a particular term. For the reservation, please send an email to ubytovani@vse.cz.

1. General information

Accommodation at VŠE dormitories is provided first of all to persons meeting at least one of the following criteria:

students of a daily form of studies at VŠE academic programmes
students of international programmes organized by VŠE
students of the VŠE study programmes accredited in a foreign language

Accommodation of other persons (students of VŠE with interrupted study, participants of courses of VŠE, and students of other schools) will be possible only in the case of free capacity. Actual information will be published at the website accommodation.vse.cz. Students with interrupted study at VŠE have to email the end of the interruption to ubytovani@vse.cz.

A. Priority processing of applications
Accommodation applications of the following VŠE students are handled as priority ones:

Holders of ZTP or ZTP/P card (disablement certificate) stating the level of disability (the cardholder needs to personally visit the Central Accommodation Office for card verification and copying). Student marks ZTP/P in Application in ISKAM

Students with special health requirements for accommodation may approach the Central Accommodation Office, ubytovani@vse.cz, before July 7, 2024. Such requirements shall be processed preferentially and individually.

B. Submitting applications for accommodation at the VŠE dormitories in the 2024/2025 academic year:
Each applicant for accommodation in a VŠE dormitory submits an online application for accommodation (hereinafter just „Application“) in the Information System of Dormitories and Student´s Canteens of the Facilities Management department of VŠE (hereinafter just „ISKAM“) iskam-web.vse.cz. Other forms of Application other than those submitted online shall not be accepted. The procedure of application filing is described in a Manual.

The following persons may submit applications:

Present students of VŠE, including continuing Degree students of VŠE academic programmes, enrolled for study.
Applicants enrolled to the first term of Bachelor’s studies or consequent Master’s studies or postgraduate (PhD) studies at the VŠE in Prague.
Students of other universities study the daily form of studies (depending upon free accommodation capacity).
VŠE graduates (submission of Application maximally into one year since the end of study VŠE, only in case of free capacity and judgment of the principal of SUZ)
students of VŠE with interrupted studies

C. Deposit payment

As the confirmation of serious interest in accommodation in the VŠE dormitory, the applicant shall pay the reservation deposit of CZK 8,000 by June 30, 2024, at the latest. If a student has paid the accommodation deposit and submitted an application, the accommodation deposit will transfer to the reservation deposit. The reservation deposit will be transferred to the accommodation deposit on the move-in date at the latest. The accommodation deposit, or its part, may be used to cover any damage, debt, or possible sanctions. The deposit will be returned when you properly move out in cash or by card at the dormitory office or within 30 days after to the bank account you state in your ISKAM profile (for the foreign payment, you must add an administration fee of CZK 500).

Upon moving out, the student agrees with the dormitory manager regarding how s/he wishes to return the deposit. The deposit may also be left in ISKAM account for the next academic year

The payment can be made in the following ways:

Recommended: Payment via a payment portal in the ISKAM system. Card Accounts – Accommodation deposit – Charge.
Cashless bank transfer to the benefit of bank account no. 1793102/0800. For identification of your payment, use the variable symbol (VS). Each applicant shall find such VS in iskam-web.vse.cz in the Basic Information card (for the foreign payment must be added administration fee CZK 500).
Cash deposit in Czech crowns (CZK) through any bank to benefit bank account no. 1793102/0800. For identification of your payment, use the variable symbol (VS). Each applicant shall find such VS in iskam-web.vse.cz in the Basic Information.
Pay by card at the reception desk of any dormitory.

Detailed information regarding the reservation deposit payment will be sent to your email after applying for accommodation at iskam-web.vse.cz.

Warning:

If the reservation deposit in the amount of CZK 8,000 is not paid until June 30, 2024, the accommodation reservation is not valid.
If a student accidentally charges the main account or accommodation deposit account, it is all right; the money will be transferred to the reservation deposit account within a few days. It is not necessary to contact Central accommodation about that.

2. Accommodation timetable for VŠE dormitories in the academic year 2024/2025

I.Present students of VŠE and Degree programmes continuing student

Submit their applications from May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, using iskam-web.vse.cz in the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – VŠE students 2024/2025.
The Application may be submitted also after June 30, 2024. However, such persons lose the possibility of choosing their room; the accommodation is allocated by the Central Accommodation Office, depending upon free accommodation capacity.
Students who are interested in the same room as in the previous academic year must live in this room for the entire period from May 1 to June 30, 2024, and must apply for accommodation no later than June 30, 2024. When submitting your Application, you must still have active accommodation in ISKAM! The room will be displayed automatically in the system after you send the Application. If there is no room number, the student has to contact the Central Accommodation Office immediately. If the applicant is not interested in the same room, s/he may cancel this preference in the ISKAM system. Do not cancel the whole request; only the preferred room is in the request! (see the Manual).
The applicant is not entitled to the same room as in the academic year 2023/2024. However, the Central Accommodation Office shall try to satisfy students’ requests. For operational reasons, the SUZ may change the reservation of the selected room.
The assigned accommodation depends upon the date and time of Application (earlier applications are processed first).
The choice of a room by students shall take place in ISKAM in the time determined in the Timetable. The possibility to choose the room shall be provided only to those students who submit their Application and pay the reservation deposit by June 30, 2024. The Central Accommodation Office reserves the right to change the chosen room.
We do not reserve single rooms in advance, students must choose the room by themselves.
If the student wants to change the selected room, he/she will contact Central Accommodation by phone or email. DO NOT cancel your Application in ISKAM!
Roommate selection: Students do not have the option of choosing a roommate but can choose a room. All you have to do is make an appointment with your friends and select the same room so that you will have shared accommodation.
Information on whether the student was accommodated (Application pre-approved) will be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the Accommodation – Accommodation requests (waiting lists) by July 13, 2024.
If the chosen room cannot be provided, the Central Accommodation Office will provide another adequate room.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List” card by August 16, 2024.

II. Applicants enrolled for the first term of Bachelor’s studies or consequent Master’s studies or the first term of postgraduate (PhD) studies at the University of Economics and Business (VŠE) in Prague before June 29, 2024

Submit their applications in the period from May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, using iskam-web.vse.cz in the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – VŠE students 2024/2025.
Applicant’s registration in ISKAM is possible one day after enrollment for the studies at VŠE, using the allocated user’s name and password to log in to the Integrated Student Information System (InSIS). The accommodation may not be booked before the enrollment for studies at VŠE.
First-year Bc students are primarily accommodated in dormitories Blanice and Vltava. But is it possible to change the dormitory later?
The applications shall be approved according to the date and time of submission in ISKAM and payment of the reservation deposit of CZK 8,000. The applicants are given priority in the accommodation allocation when the reservation deposit is paid.
Students’ choice of room shall take place in ISKAM at the time determined in the Timetable. The possibility of choosing the room shall be provided only to those students who submit their Application by July 30, 2024, and pay the reservation deposit. The Central Accommodation Office reserves the right to change the room chosen.
The Application may be submitted also after June 30, 2024. Applications will be assessed individually according to available accommodation capacity. The Central Accommodation Office allocates accommodation.
The applicant repeatedly enrolled for the first term of the Bachelor’s studies or consequent Master’s studies is not entitled to get the same room as the one he/she used in the academic year 2023/2024.
The postgraduate (PhD) student who has not yet obtained his/her registration data sends a message by July 12, 2024, regarding the requested accommodation and moving-in date to ubytovani@vse.cz in advance.
Information on whether the student was accommodated or not (Application pre-approved) will be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the Accommodation – Accommodation requests (waiting lists) by July 15, 2024.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List” card by August 16, 2024.

III. Applicants with late enrolment for studies at VŠE

The applicants admitted to studies at VŠE upon the Request for Revision of the Non-acceptance Decision after June 29, 2024, as well as students passing the entry exams after June 29, 2024, or enrolled for studies after June 29, 2024, may file their applications for accommodation since one day after the date of their enrollment for studies until August 30, 2024, using https://iskam-web.vse.cz/ in the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – students 2024/2025.
Applicant’s registration in ISKAM is possible one day after enrollment for the studies at VŠE, using the allocated user’s name and password to log-in to the Integrated Student Information System (InSIS). The accommodation may not be booked before the enrollment for studies at VŠE.
The applications shall be approved according to the date and time of submission of the Application in ISKAM and payment of the reservation deposit of CZK 8 000. Priority in the allocation of the accommodation is given to the applicants with the reservation deposit paid.
Rooms are allocated by the Central Accommodation Office, applicants cannot choose a room by themselves.
The applicant repeatedly enrolled on the first term of the Bachelor’s studies or consequent Master’s studies is not entitled to get the same room as the one he/she used in the academic year 2023/2024.
Information on whether the student was accommodated (Application pre-approved) will be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the Accommodation – Accommodation requests (waiting lists) by September 1, 2024.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List” card by September 1, 2024.

IV. Applicants admitted for studies at VŠE during the Academic year 2024/2025
During the whole academic year 2024/2025, it is possible to apply for accommodation. Every student who is not accommodated can apply for accommodation from August 31, 2024, using iskam-web.vse.cz in the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – students 2024/2025.

Applicant’s registration in ISKAM is possible one day after enrollment for the studies at VŠE, using the allocated user’s name and password to log in to the Integrated Student Information System (InSIS). The accommodation may not be booked before the enrollment for studies at VŠE.
The applicant can choose the date of the beginning of accommodation in the ISKAM application form. If there is no capacity on that date, the accommodation will be offered later.
The postgraduate (PhD) student who has not yet obtained his/her registration data shall send a message regarding the requested accommodation and moving-in date in advance to ubytovani@vse.cz.
The student has to pay a reservation deposit of CZK 8,000 immediately after receiving accommodation (this information will be sent by email). If the reservation deposit is not paid by the date stated in that email, the reservation will be cancelled.
Applications of such students shall be handled individually in accordance with the free accommodation capacities.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List” card.
Rooms are allocated by the Central Accommodation Office; applicants cannot choose a room by themselves.

V. Couple accommodation He and She

Both partners must be VŠE students. If one person is from another school, he/she will be accommodated later, depending on the capacity of the accommodation.
Shall submit their applications in the period from May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, using iskam-web.vse.cz in the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – students 2024/2025
Will pay a reservation deposit of CZK 8,000 no later than June 30, 2024.
Together with the Application, i.e. by June 30, 2024, at the latest, each partner shall fill the Google form.
Pair accommodation in the previous academic year does not mean the automatic allocation of pair accommodation. Those students who lived in a couple’s room in the last period must also fill out the form!
The applicants for the shared accommodation cannot choose a particular room. The Central Accommodation Office shall allocate rooms.
In case the partner moves out of the room (or does not move into the room), the second accommodated person is obliged to leave the couple’s room and move to the room specified by the dormitory manager or central accommodation.
By assigning accommodation, the couple automatically agrees to accommodate students of the opposite sex in the next room.

VI. Other persons

students of the VŠE, with interrupted studies at VŠE
VŠE students studying other than daily forms of studies at VŠE academic programs
students of preparatory CZV VŠE courses
students of other universities than VŠE studying in the daily form of studies

Such applicants may register themselves from July 10, 2024, using iskam-web.vse.cz in the waiting list Ostatní žadatelé Praha 2024/2025 – Other applicants 2024/2025. Information concerning the registration procedure and login to the system could be found at the accommodation.vse.cz/students-accommodation/documents/iskam.

Such applicants have no possibility to choose a particular room. The Central Accommodation Office shall allocate the accommodation at dormitories at Jižní Město (Blanice, Vltava).
If the applicant stayed in the VSE dormitory in the 2023/2024 academic year, he/she is not entitled to get the same room as the one he/she used in the 2023/2024 academic year.
The applications of such applicants shall be handled individually in accordance with the free accommodation capacities.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory block and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List.”
The applicant must pay the reservation deposit CZK 8 000 immediately after receiving accommodation (this information will be emailed). If the reservation deposit is not paid by the date stated in that email, the reservation will be canceled.

Note:

When registering to ISKAM choose the school you are studying !!!
The accommodated student must submit the original confirmation of study from the current semester in writing when moving in. The school in the confirmation must match the data in ISKAM.
Failure to receive a visa will not be taken into account. Failure to receive a visa is not a reason for the free cancellation of the application/booking. It is, therefore, in the student’s interest to get the visa on time.
We recommend submitting the Application only when it is certain that the student will actually receive the visa to avoid losing the reservation deposit.

Deposit payment

As the confirmation of serious interest in accommodation in the VSE dormitory, the applicant shall pay the reservation deposit in the amount of CZK 8,000 immediately after receiving accommodation. If the deposit is not paid within the deadline specified in the accommodation email, the reservation will be canceled.

VII. Applications for the summer semester 2024/2025 for VŠE students
The applicant for the accommodation returning from study or work internship organized by VŠE should apply for accommodation one month before moving in. Please use the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti 2024/2025 – students 2024/2025 at iskam-web.vse.cz. You may choose the exact date of moving in in your Application.

The Applications shall be approved based on free accommodation capacities in the respective period, according to the date and time of the application submission in ISKAM.
Room will be allocated about 14 days before the start of the accommodation.
The student must pay a reservation deposit of CZK 8,000 immediately after receiving accommodation (this information will be emailed). If the reservation deposit is not paid by the date stated in that email, the reservation will be canceled.
Information concerning the particular allocated dormitory and room shall be accessible on iskam-web.vse.cz in the „Accommodation – Accommodation List.”
Rooms are allocated by the Central Accommodation Office about 14 days before the planned moving-in. Applicants cannot choose a room by themselves.

3. Cancellation of reservations

Summary of operations with the reservation deposit of CZK 8 000 depending on periods and allocation of accommodation or cancellation of requests

The deposit is refunded only if the student has filled in the account number in ISKAM.
Notification of non-interest in accommodation:

If you are no longer interested in accommodation, send an “Application for cancellation” via ISKAM (ISKAM → Accommodation requests → Application for cancellation). Depending on when you cancel your reservation, the deposit will be refunded / not refundable – see table.

* The deposit is refunded only if the student fills in the account number in ISKAM.
